Team summit success on Island Peak

Expedition: Private: Island Peak via Everest Base Camp

Team 360

News just in that after 12 hard hours walking in glorious conditions on Nepal’s stunning Imja Tse (knows as Island Peak) the whole team has reached the summit. A huge congratulations from all at Team 360. Although the technical work is now behind them, the day is not over yet and it will still be a few hours trekking until they are back at their camp. That tent will never have been so welcome!

The team, who set off from Lukla on 1st April, have already reached the legendary Everest Base Camp and today’s summit marks the pinnacle of a real mountaineering achievement for Tim Dawson, Cressida Dawson and Aggi Haig. For 13 days, the team has been expertly led by our carefully picked crew of Nepalese Sherpas and 360 guide, Marco Barcella. The support and care from this team of experts, alongside a carefully put together itinerary with plenty of time for acclimatisation has made it possible for the whole team to show the determination and perseverance to reach their goal – and with the goal towering at 6,189 metres, that’s no mean feat!

No photos yet of the summit but we will post them as soon as we have them and in the meantime here are a couple from past trips to give you an idea of their amazing achievement. We are very proud to have helped 3 more people challenge themselves to achieve extraordinary things.

If you too would like to make this epic journey join us this November on our next expedition to Everest Base Camp and Island Peak.
