MAX. ALTITUDE: 6119m
Climb Lobuche East, this mountain has been looking over our shoulder ever since we passed Lobuche village on the way to Everest Base Camp. We have acclimatised by climbing up to the height of its high camp on Kala Patthar and now are ready to look at it at close quarters.
This ascent when compared with other popular Khumbu climbs is a little obscure; but Lobuche East offers everything a climber would seek from climbing a 6,119m peak in this spectacular valley. Taking a day to teach you all the skills you need to make it to the top of this impressive looking ridge, the views from the top are beyond belief; you can see the vast bulk of Mount Everest amongst many other Himalayan giants and deep into Tibet.
The terrain encountered on the way to its lofty summit are as varied and interesting as any major Himalayan climb. Lobuche affords a totally unexpected and thrilling experience for those lucky enough to attempt an ascent; every single time!
