Climb Kilimanjaro. An ascent of Kilimanjaro is justifiably one of the greatest charity challenges around. The highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, the views all the way up to the top are nothing short of spectacular. The journey to the summit via the quieter and scenically superior Lemosho route takes us through pristine rainforest rising onto the Shira Plateau, traversing beneath the glaciers of Kibo’s south face. We then ascend the steep scree slope of the Great Barranco Wall before hitting the summit via Stella Point. The euphoria of achievement as you stand on the roof of Africa, tired but elated, is genuinely quite overwhelming.

Climbing Kilimanjaro in aid of your chosen charity is tough but rewarding, taking you out of your comfort zone, but our gentle ascent profile with sensible acclimatisation should remain within your physical ability. Nights will get cold, and summit day can plummet to the likes of which you might not have experienced before, but with the right kit (that can be hired rather than purchased) you should be comfortable, able to enjoy some of the finest starscapes you’ll ever see. The superlative leadership of our western guides will instil confidence in yourself to make that summit.

Kilimanjaro is an icon, a classic that everyone recognises, which makes fundraising that bit easier. A challenge, a fantastic accomplishment, and with the help of your team-mates and our fantastic local crew of porters, cooks and guides, great fun.
