London to Paris - Charity Bike Ride Overview

This ride has become one of the great cycle challenges in Europe. Taking you from the city of London to Paris, the capital of France and the city of love and fashion. You ride through the lush rolling countryside of the South East of England before hopping on the ferry to France. Then, leaving the coast behind you, cycle through quiet French villages and towns on country roads, then progressing towards the city through the "banlieus". Finally we approach the centre of Paris, cycling down the unmistakably elegant boulevards built by Napoleon III's "prefet de Siene" M Haussman in the 1850's, before reaching the finishing line underneath that iconic and unmissable symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower. Despite the beauty of the cycle through what is perceived as the flat north of France, this remains a tough challenge with four long days on your bike and a few strenuous climbs along the way, but the energy and encouragement you will get from the rest of the group and support team will help you though this challenge. Trip Duration - Five days, four of which the cycling covers approximately 320 miles and one is a free morning in Paris and then travelling back to the U.K.Cycling days will be divided into four smaller sections with morning and afternoon water stops and a lunch stop. During the days there may be the opportunity to stop and enjoy local hospitality as well, depending on progress. On arrival at the hotels you will find your bag and room ready for you and a member of the team to help with any questions you may have either with your bike or yourself.
