
Could you keep your team mates alive if it all went horribly wrong while out in the wilderness? Help could be several hours or in some extreme cases several days away - your team mates could be dependant on you.
This course is specific to the demands of remote environments and includes the impacts of weather and terrain that places increased importance on incident management skills and decision-making.
First Aid is a practical subject and during the course we simulate potential incidents, although this doesn’t replicate the pressures of real life-threatening situations we provide you with the skills and decision-making tools to support you should a situation arise.

All topics will be covered on each course but we like to run them on a bespoke basis depending on our clients and their outdoor discipline. For example, incidents on a canoeing expedition will vary from potential incidents experienced on a hiking expedition.
The course is delivered by K.I.S.S. Training and our aim is to provide a superior level of First Aid training whilst avoiding unnecessary jargon and complexity - Keep It Safe and Simple. K.I.S.S. Training have been approved and consistently regulated by ITC to deliver these courses.
On successfully completing this Level 2 Outdoor First Aid course a certificate will be awarded to the candidate - this certificate is issued by I.T.C. First Aid Ltd. ITC is HSE Approved and OfQual and SQA accredited.
The award has been designed to cover the needs of those working in the outdoors and covers the requirements of most Outdoor Activity National Governing Bodies, for the continuing validity of Instructor and Coaching Awards, for example, ML, SPA, BCU, BOF, RYA, MIA etc.
