Claire Morgan

Head of Marketing

Claire is the latest addition to the 360 office team and is a huge fan of all things outdoors.

She spent years squeezing in travel and adventure into precious annual leave, whilst working in corporate communications in London.

She has since seen the light and swapped the London rat race for more nature-filled surroundings, taking some time out in between to solo travel across South America. From trekking in Patagonia to cycling in the Atacama desert and snorkelling in the Galapagos.

Claire looks after marketing, communications and product development and is looking forward to putting her newly acquired winter expedition skills into practise soon!

What was your first adventure?

Growing up in South Wales, I had countless childhood adventures in the Brecon Beacons and along the Gower coast. My first proper adventure was a month-long road trip through California with my brother, when I was 17. He drove, I navigated and ate a lot of m&m cookies!

What has been your most memorable adventure?

I’ve been lucky to have had lots of incredible adventures but I’d have to say my recent trip to South America. It was amazing to have so much time in nature and to properly explore the spectacular landscapes and cultures. Although I confess I don’t miss the 24 hour long bus journeys!

What item of travel kit you can't do without?

Aside from the obvious of passport and money, I don’t head outdoors without a buff. Ear and neck warmer, hair tie and sleep mask rolled into one. It’s indispensable!

What three bits of advice would you give to people who are keen on adventures, trekking and climbing?

  1. Don’t let the unknown hold you back. Be open-minded and give it a go!
  2. Keep a positive outlook and that glass half full. Even if things don’t quite go to plan, you’ll learn lots and have some great stories to tell.
  3. Always carry spare batteries for your head torch (learnt from hard experience!)

What is the best thing about your job?

Working with great, like-minded people and a Pyrenees base! What’s not to love!?

The whole experience has really turned my head and exceeded all my expectations. I got pretty emotional at the top and it’s only now starting to sink in what an achievement it was for me on so many levels.
