Mattias Andersson

The Swedish Ultrarunning lumberjack who was brought up above the arctic circle and still lives just below it in Sweden, loves all types of outdoor sport activities like ice climbing, skiing, cycling, and lots of running, made several climbing trips and tours in the Swedish mountains.

During making some really big life changing decisions Mattias found the true joy of climbing mountains. To date he has enjoyed:

Elbrus 2017, Mera Peak 2017, Ama Dablam 2018, Pik Lenin 2019, Stok Kangri 2019.

Mattias has mostly guided private groups in the Swedish mountains but recently also took that activity to an international level and is now pulling together Swedish teams to tackle international mountains. If you are lucky to head out on an expedition with Mattias you will quickly experience his energetic leader style and his passion for seeing others meeting their goals and pushing their boundaries.

In 2020 Mattias is attempting Everest.

Moussa, Patrick and the rest of the local team were fantastic Tanzanian guides.  They, along with Stuart Shipp, were incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, and compassionate guides, who helped many people in many ways to achieve their goals. We had altitude sickness, family emergencies, inexperience and (in my, and others’, case) fear of heights to deal with, but nothing was too much for the guiding team. Backed up with an amazing porter team, it was a very personal experience.
