Shadi Ganjavian-Connor

Group Leader

In June 2016, Shadi climbed Mont Blanc to raise money and awareness for the Teenage Cancer Trust and in 2017, despite her continued fear of heights and dread of cold weather, embarked upon scaling the infamous Matterhorn mountain. This challenge was aimed at flying the flag on the summit, on behalf of children’s charity The Murray Parish Trust.

Over the years, Shadi has constantly been involved in kick-starting fundraising and awareness for many community projects. She has a fierce drive to achieve more and push herself and others to climb higher. Passionate about inspiring others that through self-belief and determination, anything can be achieved, no matter what the circumstances.

Shadi has joined Kilimanjaro and Elbrus expeditions with the 360 Team and many more are planned…watch this space!

I was unfortunate to get a ‘bit’ of frostbite. The team leader and support team were more than helpful in aiding my return back to safety; liasing with local agencies, medical authorities and insurance companies. Post expedition de-brief we all came to the conclusion, this wasn’t just down to 1 factor but much more simply, what can happen when climbing! It is what it is.
